Recent research suggests that if you play more, you may age less. The amount and quality of our play affects our hormones, which in turn affect our development and behaviour.
Play devotee and musician Pat Kane (of 80s favourite Hue and Cry) will be joined by Patrick Bateson, Emeritus Professor of Ethology at the University of Cambridge, Wendy Russell, Senior Lecturer in Play and Playwork at the University of Gloucestershire and Alex Fleetwood, Director of game design studio, Hide&Seek Productions, to explore the evolution of play, its impact on the individual and its wider social implications.
