Public Lecture hosted by the ESRC Genomics Forum
Dr Joseph Graves Jr is Dean of University Studies & Professor of Biological Sciences at North Carolina State University.
His lecture (download press release PDF) will explore the contentious link between genetics and race, which has once again emerged as an important issue in medicine. Dr Graves will argue that population genetics and social research reveal a complex reality in which the use of racial divisions as markers for medical research and treatment is a false short cut.
