Nina is an ESRC-funded PhD student at CESAGen in Lancaster. She holds a BA (Hons) in Philosophy (Lancaster), an MSc in Philosophy (Edinburgh) and an MA by Research in Environment, Culture and Society (Lancaster).

Research Interests

  • Intellectual Property Law, especially as it relates to communally held knowledge and plant genetics
  • Open Source alternatives to prevailing IP Law
  • The ethics of "patenting life"
  • Social movements' responses to knowledge commodification.
