Biography

Maureen McNeil is Professor of Women's Studies and Cultural Studies in the Institute for Women's Studies at Lancaster University. She has taught and done interdisciplinary research in the USA, Canada and Britain, including posts at London (Sociology of Education) , Manchester (Liberal Studies in Science) and Birmingham (Cultural Studies) Universities. She was Director of the Institute for Women's Studies at Lancaster University (1997-2000) and is currently Chair of the Board of the Centre for Science Studies at Lancaster University.
