Cesagen’s Kristrún Gunnarsdóttir Edits Journal Special Issue

Dr. Kristrún Gunnarsdóttir guest edits a special issue of Studies in Ethics, Law and Technology

The current issue of Studies in Ethics, Law and Technology (SELT) features the guest editorship of Cesagen’s Kristrún Gunnarsdóttir and the sponsorship of her ICT Ethics project. The special issue of SELT, entitled ‘The Convergence of the Physical, Mental and Virtual’, is dedicated to state-of-the-art body/brain-machine interfaces and companion robotics. It takes as its point of departure the gap that exists between the visionary work and experimentation undertaken by scientists, and the results of theoretical and practical reflection on issues of ethical, legal and social relevance. Bringing together experimenters, philosophers and ELSA scholars, the issue examines cutting-edge research in the field and communicates some of the implications for individual and social well-being. The issue features contributions from Kevin Warwick, Mark Coeckelbergh and Cesagen’s Director Ruth Chadwick among many others.
