IntroductionThe Journal of International Medicine launch their April issue with content derived from the 2010 Uppsala conference
On June 14-16 2010, Uppsala in Sweden hosted a collaborative Cesagen and Centre for Research Ethics and Bioethics (CRB) conference entitled "Is medical ethics really in the best interest of the patient?". The conference attracted more than 70 international and multidisciplinary speakers from over 20 countries to debate issues around ethics and their impact on patients.
To follow this up the conference sponsor, the Journal of International Medicine have now launched their April issue with articles from the conference keynote talks and responses, including an introduction by Ruth Chadwick (Cesagen) and Mats G. Hansson (CRB). The conference articles in this issue are now freely available online.
